The Swamp Kings

The Swamp Kings, a Cajun Boogie and Swamp Blues band from the Twin Cities area of Minnesota have gained popularity with their upbeat and energetic performances. The group was formed in 2006 by guitarist and vocalist Tom Harkness. Harry Pulver Jr. has played the Cajun squeeze box with the band since 2008. Bassist Steve Hansen and Drummer C.J. Vanderpoll joined The Swamp Kings in 2013.

The Swamp Kings style is rhythmic, energetic and raw blending Cajun Boogie, New Orleans Funk and Swamp Blues. Their music is made for dancing! The bands popular strolling performances and audience interaction makes everybody feel like a Swamp King!

The Swamp Kings 2009 debut C.D. Swamp Appeal produced by Paul Manske features Harry Pulver Jr. on accordion and Toby Lee Marshall on the Hammond B3 organ. The Swamp Kings song Momma’s Cajun Food was chosen for The Big City Rhythm and Blues CD Sampler Volume #8. Swamp Appeal continues to have frequent air play on Blues radio and web stations nationally and internationally. 

Soulful vocals, spicy guitar, swampy accordion and just the right amount of heat from the rhythm section make the perfect ingredients for a night of good times.
